GirlGeek of the Week
February 2001
Jenny Wanderscheid
Jenny became interested in computers while working
at a Kinko's in college. She's been in love with them ever since.
When Jenny got married and had kids, and her husband was working
crazy hours, she found the Internet and all the wonderful things
it offered.
She immediately began running her own Website. She found it not
only to be a wonderful hobby but a source of income for her family.
"I cannot begin to tell you about all the wonderful people I
have met!" says the proud webmaster.
When did you first discover your love and/or
obsession with computers and technology?
1988 fell in love with a 68k mac...LOL! But, I didn't start
my website until 1995.
How
do you earn a living?
Well, my resume says Domestic Goddess, but in reality, I run the
website, ChildFun.com
all by myself.
Do you consider yourself a Geek?
Oh
heavens yes. When people call me a Geek, I take it as a compliment.
In fact, that is one of my husband's pet names for me.
What
is your favorite Website?
Well, mine first, but after that is F---edCompany.com.
I love seeing all the investment cash cows taking their nosedives.
What
do you do when you are not working?
I
don't think I understand this question. Hmmmm. Oh, that life thing
my mother keeps telling me to get? Right, Ummmm, I love fishing,
crocheting, I love to cook, and my kids keep me wonderfully busy.
What's
your motto?
Who
says parenting can't be fun?
Who
would play you in a movie about your life?
The
mom from "Malcolm
in the Middle."
She is my idol! :)
What
would be the title of your autobiography?
Maybe
You Are
Who
is the person you most admire?
My
husband. He is the most amazing person I have ever met.
When
and where were you the happiest?
Dec
1, 1992, March 31, 1993, September 2, 1994, and November 18, 1997
(marriage, birth of my first son, birth of my second son, birth
of my daughter)
If
you could have one super power what would it be?
Only one? ARGH! I guess I'd have to choose actually having the eyes
in the back of my head that I always tell my kids I have.
