Denise Brosseau
Denise
Brosseau is the co-founder, president and executive director of
the Forum for Women
Entrepreneurs (FWE), a leading entrepreneurial organization
for women building high-growth technology and life science companies.
FWE offers innovative programs, access to top-tier funding sources
and an active online community that accelerates women entrepreneurs'
ability to launch and lead world-class companies.
Prior
to joining FWE full time, Brosseau held a variety of positions in
high-tech marketing and product management, including stints at
Motorola, Kensington Microware and Broderbund Software. In the mid-1980s,
she also founded her own computer training business, which she ran
successfully for several years.
Brosseau
has been bitten by the start-up bug on four other occasions, joining
a travel business, a software development start-up, a voice mail
company and a kiosk-based business as an early employee. Each of
these experiences provided valuable lessons for her present position
working with entrepreneurs.
Brosseau
completed her MBA at Stanford University in 1993 and did her undergraduate
work at Wellesley College. She serves on the advisory boards of
the Women's Technology Cluster in San Francisco and several Bay
Area start-ups.
