Mei-Lin Cheng


Mei-Lin Cheng is CTO & VP of engineering at WineryExchange. A former Olympics swimmer, Cheng demonstrates a sports-like competitive edge in her work.

Prior to joining WineryExchange, Cheng had a 25-year career at Hewlett-Packard (HP) where she was most recently a VP & CIO for HP's LaserJet Imaging Systems & Computer Products business. In this role, she managed 400+ employees and a $500 million budget. Cheng successfully managed the re-engineering of the HP Supply Chain for Order Fulfillment, and the results of her team's efforts were featured in Fortune Magazine. Cheng was responsible for all IT procurement, development, integration, and implementation strategies globally. Her previous positions at HP included order fulfillment reengineering manager, worldwide admin systems manager and other worldwide IT and engineering management positions.

Cheng holds an M.S. in operations research and a B.A. in economics and math from Stanford University. An honors math student, she trained to swim competitively, landing a spot on the Malaysian team sent to the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.
