Lu M. Cordova
Lu M.
Cordova is the former CEO and chairman of the board of Acteva,
a leading provider of e-commerce services to the event community,
including online credit card processing and reporting for ticketing,
membership, registrations, donations and more. Cordova also served
on the Acteva board as chief development officer. She has worked
with the founders to evolve the company from concept to revenue
production and first-round financing.
Prior
to Acteva, Cordova was CEO of Corlund Industries. While there, Cordova
consulted with and participated in the development of companies,
including most recently, TixToGo, before it became Acteva, and @Home
Network. Previously, Cordova was vice president of corporate development
at MMS International, a start-up that was sold to McGraw-Hill as
part of the Standard & Poor's Corporation.
She has
also worked for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
conducting empirical research on data flows, information networking
and exchange rate expectations, and for the California State Attorney
General researching rate cases. Ms. Cordova has been appointed by
the U.S. Secretary of Labor to a third term on the Business Research
Advisory Council which consults with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
on BLS data.
A California
native, Ms. Cordova attended the University of California at Berkeley
and received B.S. degrees in both political science and economics
and a Ph.D.-A.B.D. in economics.
