Barbara Kamm
Barbara
Kamm is executive vice president of Silicon
Valley Bank, a $4.6-billion commercial bank which serves
early-stage and middle-market technology and life science companies.
Kamm is also managing director of Angels and Incubators, responsible
for implementing the bank's national strategy for angels, incubators
and corporate investors.
Prior
to taking on Angels and Incubators, Kamm was group manager of strategic
products and services, a position with broad responsibilities in
cash management, executive banking, real estate, supply chain services
and international, commercial, specialty and vendor financing. Before
becoming group manager, she was the bank's chief administrative
officer.
Kamm
is a member of the bank's Managing and Investment committees. She
is also a board and executive committee member of the Forum for
Women Entrepreneurs.
Kamm
previously served as executive vice president and group manager
in Southern California for Silicon Valley Bank. In this position,
she was responsible for the Southern California Technology Division,
the Religious Financial Resources Division and the Entertainment
Division. During her time in Southern California, Kam was active
in the community, serving as chairman of the advisory board of UCI
ACCELERATE Technology SBDC and sitting on the boards of UCSD CONNECT,
the Southern California Entrepreneurship Academy and Orange County
United Way.
Prior
to joining Silicon Valley Bank, Kamm opened and managed the Orange
County office of the National Bank of Long Beach, where she specialized
in corporate lending and international trade financing. She also
previously served as president of Dioptics Medical Products, an
Irvine-based manufacturer and distributor. Earlier positions include
work for Marine National Bank and First Interstate Bank.
Kamm
received a master's degree in international management from the
American Graduate School of International Management and an bachelor's
in communications from Stanford University. She is also a graduate
of the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington.
