Deb Triant Rieman

Deb Triant Rieman, is the former CEO for Check Point Software Technologies, where she was responsible for worldwide sales, marketing, business development and support for their products.

Before joining Check Point Software in 1995, Rieman was vice president of marketing of Adobe Systems Inc., which she joined in 1993 from Sun Microsystems, where she was president and CEO of its subsidiary, Sitka Corporation. Prior to Sitka, she headed Congruity, a consulting firm that provides strategic planning and marketing services to advanced technology companies. She also held senior positions in planning and marketing at Xerox Corporation and in technical management at MITRE Corporation. Rieman currently serves on the board of directors for Altera Corporation and Sandpiper Networks Inc.

A leading authority on Internet and enterprise security, Rieman has been quoted in Barron's, Business Week, The Financial Times, Forbes, Fortune, Investor's Business Daily, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, and has appeared on Bloomberg's CEO Forum, CNN, CNBC and MSNBC. She was recently featured on the cover of Fortune magazine and was named one of the "Top Ten Women in Technology" by Working Woman magazine as well as one of the "Twenty Executives to Watch" by Computer Reseller News.

Rieman received a Ph.D. in mathematics from Columbia University and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. Early in her career, she was assistant professor of mathematics at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
