Heidi Roizen
Heidi
Roizen is a managing director of SOFTBANK
Venture Capital, a $600-million venture fund focused on
early-stage Internet companies. Her career has included roles as
an entrepreneur, CEO and corporate executive.
Roizen
currently serves on the boards of directors of Bayla, DoDots Inc.,
DrDrew.com, iPrint.com, Great Plains Software, Preview Systems,
Reelplay.com and the Software Development Forum. She is also an
advisory board member of Time Domain Corporation and Garage.com.,
and a member of the Stanford Board of Trustees Nominating Committee.
Before
joining SOFTBANK, Roizen was vice president of worldwide developer
relations at Apple Computer, where she and her 300-person team were
responsible for creating and managing programs to facilitate developer
support of Apple platforms. Before joining Apple, she served for
13 years as CEO of T/Maker Company, a successful software developer
and publisher.
Roizen
is a past president of the Software Publisher's Association and
has served as a public governor of the Pacific Exchange. She has
been recognized as one of the 100 most influential people in the
microcomputer industry by MicroTimes, Personal Computing
and Upside.
Roizen
has a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. She lives with
her husband and two daughters in Atherton, California.
