Who Inspire Us
Internet
Courtney Rosen
Courtney
Rosen is founder and CEO of eHow,
a Website that provides users with step-by-step instructions on
thousands of real-world activities, such as changing the oil in
a car, negotiating a raise or making Cajun hot sauce. A former manager
for Andersen Consulting's ecommerce group, Rosen got the idea for
the site after a particularly frustrating experience scouring the
Web for information on how to fix her inline skates.
Rosen
has extensive management, ecommerce, and marketing experience, having
held P&L responsibilities for business units and key client accounts
at Hill & Knowlton and Andersen Consulting. Her experience in electronic
commerce stems from over two-and-a-half years of strategy consulting
in the Internet industry with Andersen Consulting's Strategic Services
group. In addition to her ecommerce background, Rosen has a decade
of experience in marketing strategy for major consumer brands including
Visa, Barbie/Mattel, Compaq, Nintendo, Toyota, American Express,
PolyGram and Bose.
Rosen
earned an M.B.A. from the Anderson School at UCLA and a B.S. in
design from UC Davis.
