Internet

Pamela
Thomas
Pamela
Thomas is chief executive officer of CornerWays,
an international production house that specializes in online community
development, intranet solutions, interactive online trainings, and
dynamic website design. She brings extensive experience in the field
of moderation services to the company. She specializes in formulating
community strategies, hands-on creation of online community techniques
and tools, and writing corporate manuals. Prior to starting CornerWays,
Thomas helped build community for clients such as IBM, Martha Stewart,
Children's Television Workshop (CTW), US Open, and the NFL Super
Bowl. Thomas began her career in community building long before
it was cool to build on the Web. Prior to her foray into cyberspace,
Thomas served as the co-founder and executive director of a non-profit
AIDS prevention organization for youth. She established community
outreach programs in local high schools across the state of Arizona.
With the
birth of her son in August 1994, Pam felt it was important to become
a stay-at-home mom. That was when she discovered the Internet and
the opportunity to develop community using this electronic medium.
Her first taste of community building was with the Guide Program
on America Online, where she developed a passion for work on the
Internet. Thomas holds a B.A. in creative writing and a minor in
journalism from the Univery of Arizona.
