Kimberly
Vogel
Kimberly
Vogel is corporate communication manager at Google,
the favorite search engine for Web-savvy Internet users, and winner
of the 2000 Webby for Technical Achievement. Vogel is charged with
spreading the word about Google. One of Google's early marketing
employees, Vogel contributes to the company's overall marketing
and public relations efforts including fueling its word-of-mouth
marketing campaigns and media coverage.
Prior
to joining Google, Vogel was a senior account executive for Neihaus
Ryan Wong Public Relations, where she lead several accounts within
the ecommerce and interactive marketing group including, Hungry
Minds, Inconocast's Web Attack!, @Home's Interactive Advertising
unit, E-Loan, and Cybergold. Before joining NRW, she was a public
affairs manager at PG&E Energy Services, and a senior media relations
spokesperson with the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund, now known
as EarthJustice Legal Defense Fund in Washington, DC.
An
East Coast transplant from New Jersey, Vogel has more than seven
years of professional reporting, marketing, and public relations
experience. In addition to technology, Kimberly has experience in
several other markets, including political science and the environment.
Vogel received her B.A. in political science from the American University
in Washington, D.C., specializing in political campaigns and elections.
Vogel
loves being a geek and has fond memories of her first computer,
a Commodore 64 with external modem. Vogel is the meanest roller
blader in the West, is one quick and nimble mountain climber, and
a champion mountain biker who can keep up with the best of the boys.
Her favorite saying: "Anything boys can do I can do better!" She
is thrilled when she can hang out with her husband Kyle and their
cat named Fred.
